Does anyone else think we (the U.S.) is in really big trouble?
I mean, we have huge dept. stores shutting down - no one has money to buy anything. The people who have money to buy anything they want, generally have had it handed to them, or ... made a blithering fortune climbing ladders to the top at the expense of others, or by bored people willing to spend their hard-earned and scarce monies for the sake of "being entertained" by the likes of untalented, glitzy, maladjusted & arrogant so-called celebrities!

And then there's the kabillionaire guy who bought the most expensive (over $300 million) yacht with all the amenities and then some, who stated that "he's a little shy about being forthcoming with the exact amount of money spent on just that ONE thing in his life" ... "afterall, there are ppl starving somewhere".... AUUUUGH!!!!

There's a new fantasy series movie out - No.1 in a trilogy, called 'The Golden Compass'. It basically ends with two children who have been on this grand adventure in life who end up 'killing God' so that they can live the life they wish to live. HUNH????? The thing is, we've (the nation) has been trying to do that for years ... unsuccessfully to a point. I mean, there are still a few of us old sots who happen to believe in God and in the Holy Trinity, and "foolish" or "stupid" enough to actually believe He is who He says He is, and does what He says He'll do! Imagine that?!
I guess if you can't kill faith in the adults of this land, obliterate the mere possiblity of a future generation who would follow suit by Hollywood glitz and special effects. Afterall, we know that Hollywood is taken to be true in their portrayal of the realities of life, right???

Oh, and let's not forget how wonderful it's been to have NAFTA and WTO up and operating at full speed!! I mean, w/out them ... perhaps our children wouldn't have to face extreme illness, discomfort or even death from playing with a simple toy?! Or, the people of this nation displaced by greedy companies sending jobs over seas to feed their fat pockets even more.
And huge corporations who dip into and annihilate families retirement accounts that they've worked 20-30-40 years solid for, leaving OLD PEOPLE w/out a means to care for themselves when they need it most. Leaving them to waste away in nursing homes who have no compassion or care whatsoever. And this is all done LEGALLY! No one makes them answer for what they've done. No one makes them anti-up and pay back the stolen funds to these dessimated people!

And foreign countries are still killing and slaughtering innocent children, women, and allowing hideous and monstrous acts against people groups for nothing more of a reason given than just for their existing & living and breathing! Ethnic cleansing - too nice of words to desribe the horrors of demons that march the earth unleashing all the evil that can be contained in a human soul.

We see no work ethics anymore. No people who care. No compassion. No common sense. No real leadership.
Our time is getting away from us. Our sense of who we are, our dignity is gone, and on and on spins the broken, battered, bleeding, and bent planet that held the hopes and dreams of generations upon generations.

We are thread bare, beyond tattered and torn. More shredded, sliced and diced, and aimlessly limping into the unknown tomorrow.

We are a world of regret - looking back at what could have been.
And I honestly think it's too late to even have a remote chance at changing that.

I believe that if people would stop chasing God out of every aspect of life with a big stick, we may have the chance. But what do I know?
I know it couldn't hurt to turn to who I believe, is the ONLY ONE that really could turn things around. But we all know that's probably not about to happen.

Well, just another of my little impromptu rants for the day. Sometimes I just have to do it - or feel like my head will explode at the overall lack of concern of people.
People today have lost heart. And why wouldn't they? When the only one that can fill the void in every heart is pushed so far out and away from things - hope dies.

My wish for anyone else out there who is fading - is to grab a tiny particle of hope and hang on for dear life if you can find one! My hope is in Christ. Man can't offer me any. So it's my call.

The world at large can go as nuts as it wants. Can lose it's ever-lovin' collective mind and do whatever it's set to do. But I'm thumbin' my next ride on a comet to places unknown full well knowing that this is not my permanent home. Thank God!
